This bizarre card almost did not get uploaded. It is in no way what I had envisioned. But considering how far behind I am in getting to these challenges, I thought I should post it...perhaps as a reminder of what NOT to do.
Emily's HYCCT challenge was to create a card inspired by a great masterpiece. I wanted to stretch myself,so I intentionally stayed away from my favorite flower and landscapes. I opted for Picasso's "The Old Guitarist"... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Old_Guitarist
...because it is easy to create a card using Picasso's Cubism and Expressionism... Said No One Ever!!
Any who, I tried to create a background, and I just used markers on my SU guitar guy. My husband says he looks like 'Swamp-man". He has a point. LOL
Well, I have similar colors and a guy with a guitar. Ta-dah!
I'm going to look for a pretty landscape later tonight.

You know what? I like it! Its angled lines and cool colors and free-flowing design sum up rock 'n' roll. Rock on! I can't wait to see what you do if you revisit the challenge, too!

This card will be right for someone! You pushed your boundaries and made something unexpected. The more I look at this the more I see to like in it. The figure is mysterious, the background has depth, and movement. The 'everyman' of guitar players!

Kim,
Oh but it did turn out wonderfully with that awesome blue bg! Your rock and roller guy is out of this world, so he fits terrifically into that scene!!
